3_OC_0618_Sticky_Feature_Heritage_PointeA SOLD-OUT CROWD of over 400 guests were in attendance at Heritage Pointe’s 28th Annual Spring Luncheon, Fashion Show, and Shopping Boutique at the Irvine Marriott Hotel. Co-chaired once again by Donna Markovitz and Gail Taleisnik, this not-to-be-missed event featured a high-energy Fashion Show produced by SUSANSTEINSTYLE. Susan Stein is well-known in the fashion industry and is the Creative Producer and Director of the acclaimed El Paseo Fashion Week in Palm Desert, California.   She also currently serves as Fashion and Scene Editor for Palm Springs Life Magazine.

“We both enjoyed Co-chairing Heritage Pointe’s terrific Spring Lunch-eon,” stated Gail Taleisnik and Donna Markovitz. Both women are second generation donor community members. “This has become an annual tradition, and we are delighted it was sold out again this year, resulting in tremendous community support.”

The Shopping Boutique showcased over 30 vendors displaying clothing, handbags, jewelry, gift wares, and much more. A percentage of Boutique sales was donated to the Heritage Fund (formerly named the Resident Assistance Fund) which helps seniors in financial need to live at Heritage Pointe surrounded by comfort, security, and love.

“The significance of this event is our community coming together to support our seniors at Heritage Pointe, which enables us to provide the highest quality of care facilities, amenities, and the best quality of life,” stated Mike Silverman, CEO of Heritage Pointe. “There are many exciting things going on at Heritage Pointe right now. Thanks to the Fainbarg Family, we will have a gorgeous new great room, and we are preparing for that construction to start within the new few weeks. And, we are also putting the finishing touches on the remodel of our dining room, with donations supporting the purchase of much-needed dining room chairs,” he continued.

The Runway Fashion Show featured collections from Grayse of Fashion Island and formal custom-made attire from Bohimi Couture of Palm Desert.   Owners of Grayse, Marie and Kelly Gray, were on hand to   present their collection and give all attendees a $100 gift certificate to be used at their “pop up store” at the event or at any of their stores after this event.

Grayse is a lifestyle brand designed by Kelly and Marie Gray. This is the Gray’s first time collaborating since their departure from St. John Knits over a decade ago. The mother-daughter duo started Grayse in 2013 as a fun project which grew into a full collection within a year. By 2014, the Grays opened their first retail boutique in Palm Desert, followed by two more retail locations. The mood that defines the Grayse Collecton is “sexy, glamorous, and sophisticated.” The collection is composed of exquisite hand-crafted leather and tulle jackets, striking position prints, and extraordinary sequin pieces.

“Heritage Pointe is appreciative of having the community join together in celebration of this fabulous annual event,” stated Beth Slavin, Director of Philanthropy at Heritage Pointe. “The uniqueness of combining a major fashion show with the iconic Marie and Kelly Gray, along with our extensive shopping boutique and elegant luncheon, has awarded Heritage Pointe a place on Orange County’s social calendar that draws men and women throughout the county,” Slavin continued.

Corporate Sponsors included My Mother’s Flowers and Yorba Linda Pharmacy.
