Heritage Pointe 30th Anniversary

Heritage Pointe well-known for its unparalleled residential community providing Independent, Assisted Living and Memory Care services for Seniors, is celebrating its 30th Anniversary in a big way! Heritage Pointe has announced plans for its highly-acclaimed 30th Annual Spring Luncheon & Shopping Boutique on Monday, May 18, 2020 at Hotel Irvine in Irvine, California. This year’s luncheon event will be chaired by Allison Pinsky, and will feature a very special “Conversation With Henry Winkler,” Emmy Award-winning Actor, Best-selling Author, Producer and Director.

“We are so excited Henry Winkler will join us to celebrate Heritage Pointe’s 30th Anniversary milestone,” stated Event Chair Allison Pinsky. “It’s so remarkable to me that year after year, our luncheon draws hundreds of our community supporters together to enjoy each other’s company, do some fun shopping, and appreciate our outstanding Heritage Pointe home,” Pinsky continued.
The exclusive and fun Shopping Boutique commencing at 9:30 a.m., will feature approximately 20 of the finest vendors showcasing clothing, jewelry, handbags, gift wares, accessories, and much more. As in years past, a percentage of all boutique sales are earmarked for donation to the Heritage Fund, previously named the Resident Assistance Fund. The Heritage Fund is set aside solely for the purpose of assisting seniors in financial need for residence expenses at Heritage Pointe, where they are surrounded by community, comfort, and caring attention.
“30 years ago, the Founders of Heritage Pointe and an incredible group of community philanthropists supported the opening of a Jewish senior facility for our community members,” stated Mike Silverman, MPA, Chief Executive Officer of Heritage Pointe. “Heritage Pointe has met the care and socialization needs of thousands of our community seniors. As assisted living services continue to move towards a medical model, Heritage Pointe is more important now than ever. Seniors are living longer and deserve the highest quality care and programming, so they can enjoy every day to its fullest. As we have done in the past, Heritage Pointe will continue to transform itself into a model of care that will meet the ever-growing diverse needs our seniors have. The staff and leadership of Heritage Pointe embrace this challenge and recognize that it is a privilege to help our seniors thrive,” Silverman continued.
The luncheon will commence at 11:45 a.m., followed by Mr. Winkler’s remarks at 1:00 p.m. Immediately following this year’s luncheon, there will be a private 50 guest Champagne Reception and “Meet & Greet” with Henry Winkler. In addition to a glass of sparkling wine, these 50 guests will enjoy an individual photo opportunity with Winkler, and receive an autographed copy of one of his children’s books. The first 50 guests to sign up to take advantage of this special once in a lifetime opportunity with Winkler will pay $1,800 per person, which is over and above the luncheon ticket cost.
“Heritage Pointe is proud to celebrate this milestone occasion during its 30 year anniversary in senior care. As a major participating Jewish organization and the only Jewish Senior Assisted Living and Memory Care community in Orange County, we continually strive to produce and present top trend-setting programs that result in collaborative efforts on the county, state, and national level. As our luncheon event attendance grows stronger each year, we felt the need to present a well-known name such as Henry Winkler. We feel confident that this will be the ultimate event Heritage Pointe hosts since its inception,” Slavin continued.
General admission tickets are $118 per person, which will include two complimentary opportunity tickets, $50 worth of shopping bucks and discounted valet and self-parking. Sponsorships range from $360 on up to $3,600 for a table of ten. All sponsorship levels will include opportunity tickets, shopping bucks, as well as discounted valet and self-parking.
All proceeds from this annual luncheon support Heritage Pointe’s mission to provide residential services for the elderly, while incorporating Jewish traditions and lifestyle, in order to offer a broad range of services and provide financial assistance to those in need, to the extent supported by the community.
It is anticipated during the luncheon that Mr. Winkler will discuss topics that are both timely and timeless for him. His passion for working with children, particularly children with learning disabilities, has won him well-deserved acclaim. His own struggles with learning as a child, motivates much of his adult life’s work, and his lifetime of service has resulted in multiple humanitarian awards and accolades. His focus on education and ongoing learning finds a point of convergence with Heritage Pointe’s own emphasis on continuous study through its ZEST FOR LEARNING Program, which offers Residents, their family members, and interested community supporters a wealth of educational activities and experiences. This program is based on the concept that no one is ever too old to learn because learning is a lifelong adventure.
With his recent Primetime Emmy win for his role on HBO’s Barry, Henry Winkler adds to two Daytime Emmy awards, and three acting nominations for his work on Happy Days, in the iconic role of Arthur “Fonzie” Fonzarelli, which also won him 2 Golden Globes.
