WHAT: Countering Hate is a half-day learning experience on understanding and preventing hate in America for leaders across Orange County.
WHEN: Thursday February 8th from 1:00pm – 5:00pm

DETAILS: The Countering Hate Summit will bring together nationally renowned leaders, policy makers, local practitioners and educators to explore paths to systematic changes addressing antisemitism and hate. Panelists will speak on what “counts” as antisemitism, the relationship between antisemitism and other forms of hate, how they threaten democracy and how we can develop tools and evidence-based strategies to combat hate in local communities.

The Community Scholar Program will present “What Does Shock Look Like? Israeli Art After October 7” with Shirel Horovitz, live on Zoom from Tel Aviv, Israel, on Sunday February 11, at 10 AM. Alongside her art practice Shirel leads tours, lectures, and is an art consultant. She has adapted her live tours and lectures to engaging online experiences inviting people from around the world to explore the fascinating world of Israeli art.
