Frozen in Time: The Rockefeller Museum Reawakens
Experience the architectural beauty and rich history of the Rockefeller Museum on this exclusive virtual tour led by Nachliel Selavan. Located in East Jerusalem, this iconic building—frozen in its original 1930s design—is a rare time capsule of both the British Mandate era and the ancient civilizations it preserves. Explore the museum’s unique architecture, mosaics, and layout, which reflect a fusion of European, Middle Eastern, and classical influences. Along the way, we’ll delve into a curated selection of remarkable artifacts—from prehistoric tools to Roman sarcophagi and Islamic art—each one telling a story of the Land of Israel and its layered past. Whether you’re a lover of archaeology, history, or architecture, this tour offers a unique opportunity to connect with one of Jerusalem’s most intriguing and often-overlooked treasures—now briefly reawakened after years of quiet.

An Evening of Courage & Inspiration: “Choose Life” with Hazel Kassel Brief
You’re invited you to a moving evening with Hazel Kassel Brief, sister of SHM members Dan and Lisa Kassel, as she shares the powerful story of her son, Yona Brief, in “Choose Life: Yona Brief’s Story of Bravery, Resilience, and Love of Life.”
Yona, an IDF soldier and medic from the elite counter-terrorism commando unit, Duvdevan, tragically lost his heroic 14-month battle with injuries sustained while defending Kibbutz Kfar Aza on October 7th, 2023. Yona’s story continues past his 417-day survival through his mother, Hazel Kassel Brief.
Please join SHM for a 45-minute presentation, followed by a 15-minute Q&A in our Sanctuary to honor Yona’s courage and hear Hazel’s inspiring message of resilience and hope.
Stay afterwards to celebrate life with lite refreshments being served.
