CSP – The Changing Shape of Religious Zionism and the Upcoming Elections
Religious Zionists, though relatively small in number, are crucial for understanding the history of Zionism and the State of Israel today, both for what they do, and for the larger trends they reflect not only in politics and religious life, but also in Israeli ideology and culture. October 7th and its aftermath has shaken up Religious Zionists, with some radicalizing even further towards the right, and others seeking new alliances with Israeli politics’ moderate center, and a few moving determinedly towards the Left. In our time together, we will learn about the complex, and surprising, history of Religious Zionism, how it came to shape the current Israeli government, and what the changes it is experiencing may portend for the future.

From Chabad of North Irvine: Shofar at the Lake
Chabad of the North Irvine invites you to join us for our High Holiday services @
The Park Paseo Clubhouse
25 Christamon W, Irvine 92620
Among Chabad’s core motifs is that services are not just about prayers and rituals, but more so about celebrating Judaism as a dynamic and enriching community experience; an experience shared harmoniously by Jews of all backgrounds and walks of life.
Indeed, our doors and our hearts are always open. If this makes for a warm and inviting atmosphere all year round, it does so all the more during the Days of Awe.
Whether you’ve joined with us in the past or this will be your first such experience, be prepared to usher in the Year 5787 in the spirit of joy and solidarity.
We look forward to greeting you!
