News & Jews – National Council of Jewish Women to Host Jewish Communal Conversation with Sheryl Sandberg

Recently, Sheila Katz, CEO of National Council of Jewish Women, held a virtual discussion with Sheryl Sandberg, Co-Founder of LeanIn.org and former COO of Facebook, about her new documentary Screams Before Silence. The documentary includes never-before-heard eyewitness interviews from released hostages, survivors, and first responders of the attacks by Hamas on October 7. The conversation focused on the importance of bearing witness and uplifting the silenced voices of the attack, and demanding justice for all those affected.
In collaboration with Israel’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations, National Council of Jewish Women convened a Special Session at the United Nations last December, Hear Our Voices: Sexual and gender-based violence in the October 7th Hamas terror attack, at which Sheryl Sandberg gave a keynote address.
